K-Pop Super band ‘Infinite’ set to wow Manila fans

Filipino K-Pop fans have a reason to rejoice, as Korean megastar band Infinite heads to Manila at the Araneta Coliseum on November 3 for the 2013 Infinite 1st concert’s pitch perfect song numbers, jaw-dropping dance performances, topped by world class production value, fans are sure to have an epic time.

Infinite’s members, Sung Kyu, Dong Woo, Woo Hyun, Hoya, Sung Yeol, L, and Sung Jong, have sky rocketed to fame since the successful, chart-topping debut of their first mini album ‘First Invasion’ in 2010. In 2012, Infinite reached super stardom with hot reception on their hit, ‘Scorpion Dance,’ which was featured in ‘B.T.D’ and won music awards with ‘Over The Top’. The Infinite fever didn’t stop there, as the boy band dished out more back to back number 1 hits like ‘Paradise’, ‘The Chaser’, ‘Man In Love’ ‘Destiny’ and more.

Fans all around the world are drawn to Infinite’s dazzling vocals in their live performances and their music, which distinguishes them from the other K-POP artists. In 2012, Billboard.com chose ‘The Chaser’ as the No. 1 K-Pop Song of year and through an article dedicated to the band on their main page identified Infinite as a rising star who had shown the most growth in Korea and Japan.

Infinite celebrates their 3rd anniversary since exploding to the scene by taking their music to the world. The music act has already wowed audiences in Seoul, Korea and Jakarta, Indonesia and is all set to do the same for Filipino fans. Their journey will continue through Japan, China and many more Asian countries and beyond, touring until the end of the year, performing in North America, , Europe, the Middle East and more.

Aimee Lee Lucas to Hold Kpop Dance Workshop in Manila!

Renowned Filipino-American choreographer and a household name in the international Kpop fandom, Aimee Lee Lucas is coming to Manila for an exclusive one-day only dance class and meet and greet session.

“PKCI x Aimee Lee Lucas Dance Kpop” is happening on October 12, 2013, 2pm at the Starmall EDSA Function Hall.

This event is a tie-up with the Philippine Kpop Committee, Inc., – the first, the only and the biggest Kpop organization in the country and the team behind many ground-breaking events including the world’s first Kpop Convention and the bi-annual clubbing event, Kpop Night.

“We’ve always wanted to invite Aimee Lee to the Philippines since we know she has many fans in the country. Being Pinoy herself, she had also told us that she really wanted to do something here.” said Mishi Camaya, PKCI Logistics Manager and project head for this event. “When the opportunity came, we just grabbed it. We knew we had to do it for her and for the fandom.”, she added.

Like some of PKCI’s other events, this will be a fund-raising venture as a large part of the proceeds will be donated to the children of Gawad Kalinga, as per the request of Aimee Lee Lucas herself.

Aimee is best known for having worked with many big Kpop names, particularly from the YG roster such as Big Bang, Se7en and 2NE1. She choreographed Park Bom’s single “You and I” as well as the staging for G-Dragon’s first solo concert, “Heartbreaker”.

Her other notable achievements include serving as Executive Vice President of Artist Management in Los Angeles, creating and leading the international division of Dance Educators and Choreographers for The Movement Talent Agency, taking on Creative Director duties for the MNET Gangnam Style Flashmob Dance (as featured in “Nightline” on the US broadcast network ABC), founding the M.V.P. (Music Video Party) KPOP Dance Class, and successfully holding a Dance-All-Day Class at the recently concluded KCON 2013 in Los Angeles.

Participants may avail of a Regular Pass for only Php 180 or a VIP Pass for only Php 500. Regular Pass will cover the 1 ½ hour dance class while the VIP Pass will include the dance class plus another 1 hour meet & greet session with Aimee, which will include games, raffles and dance showdowns.
