Renowned Filipino-American choreographer and a household name in the international Kpop fandom, Aimee Lee Lucas is coming to Manila for an exclusive one-day only dance class and meet and greet session.
“PKCI x Aimee Lee Lucas Dance Kpop” is happening on October 12, 2013, 2pm at the Starmall EDSA Function Hall.
This event is a tie-up with the Philippine Kpop Committee, Inc., – the first, the only and the biggest Kpop organization in the country and the team behind many ground-breaking events including the world’s first Kpop Convention and the bi-annual clubbing event, Kpop Night.
“We’ve always wanted to invite Aimee Lee to the Philippines since we know she has many fans in the country. Being Pinoy herself, she had also told us that she really wanted to do something here.” said Mishi Camaya, PKCI Logistics Manager and project head for this event. “When the opportunity came, we just grabbed it. We knew we had to do it for her and for the fandom.”, she added.
Like some of PKCI’s other events, this will be a fund-raising venture as a large part of the proceeds will be donated to the children of Gawad Kalinga, as per the request of Aimee Lee Lucas herself.
Aimee is best known for having worked with many big Kpop names, particularly from the YG roster such as Big Bang, Se7en and 2NE1. She choreographed Park Bom’s single “You and I” as well as the staging for G-Dragon’s first solo concert, “Heartbreaker”.
Her other notable achievements include serving as Executive Vice President of Artist Management in Los Angeles, creating and leading the international division of Dance Educators and Choreographers for The Movement Talent Agency, taking on Creative Director duties for the MNET Gangnam Style Flashmob Dance (as featured in “Nightline” on the US broadcast network ABC), founding the M.V.P. (Music Video Party) KPOP Dance Class, and successfully holding a Dance-All-Day Class at the recently concluded KCON 2013 in Los Angeles.
Participants may avail of a Regular Pass for only Php 180 or a VIP Pass for only Php 500. Regular Pass will cover the 1 ½ hour dance class while the VIP Pass will include the dance class plus another 1 hour meet & greet session with Aimee, which will include games, raffles and dance showdowns.
This event is sponsored by Skechers and PULP Live World.
