Two of the k-pop groups that will be joining the Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert 2 (DKFC2) on Sunday, February 2, came to answer a few questions for the press. A-JAX and Block B members were happy to face the media and animatedly responded to the questions presented to them.
Q1. So A-JAX, tell us about the kind of music that A-JAX does?
A-JAX: A-JAX is not limited to one kind of music or genre but we sing ballads, R&B, and electronic pop and funky rock. And we are trying various kinds of music and we are looking forward to having a comeback with other kinds of music.
Q3. It is your first time in the Philippines, so tell us about what you think about the country.
A-JAX: For our 1st time in the Philippines, we are surprised to see our fans in the airport with their placards so we weren’t expecting those kinds of fans. We saw that the Filipino fans are jolly and true and nice so we appreciate it.
Q3. What songs are you most proud of?
A-JAX: We are proud of the song called Snake which is from the 3rd single album of A-JAX.
Q4. If you guys were to dedicate a song from your album to your Filipino fans, what would it be and why?
A-JAX: We would like to dedicate Snake to you and we would like to sing one line from our song… *sings*
Q5. Tell us what experiences are you looking forward to here in the Philippines and also in your concert tomorrow.
A-JAX: We want to try the jeepney around the Philippines and also eat sinigang and also halo-halo. We also want to go to Boracay.

We hope you’ve enjoyed the interviews. We will be posting the coverage of the concert soon. More photos beyond the cut.
Last October 24, one of the biggest k-pop boybands came and performed in Manila at the Mall of Asia Arena. It’s been a crazy day for VIPs since there were a lot of logistical issues but the show went on as scheduled. I’ve got a few concerns with the security of the venue but I’m not complaining because I got photos for the event thanks to them.
As usual, I can’t give a blow-by-blow account of what happened at the concert but I have a few highlights:
- Seungri and the toy panda
- A very long encore (people say this was the longest for their tour so far) and they sung some songs twice
- Seungri and G-Dragon shooting each of the members of the group using a phone
- TOP wearing a huge ribbon headband
- They said they love it here and PROMISED to come back. I do hope they keep their word.
Here’s one of my favorite songs, Haru Haru:
I would like to thank my friend Marge for taking me with her to watch this. Such a fantastic event to experience and capture. It would’ve been nicer if I could bring in my D5000 but my brother’s Sony HX20V with 20x optical zoom is a perfect alternative.
Enjoy the photos!

Still hung over from the Simple Plan concert last Thursday (hopefully I get the time to write about that too), my friend and I headed to Market!Market! for ZE:A’s last stop for their promotional tour. Been excited for this the whole week since my trigger finger’s been itching to shoot ever since Monday (office party) and Thursday (camera-less with patron seats D: )
They got on stage and performed then had an interview, then danced some more. They encountered technical difficulties with the music so they had to cut the performance short. They then finished off with the signing. It was pretty quick than I expected. I could have taken more photos if they followed their planned playlist.
Thanks to Be (cho-kyuhyun.com) for sharing her press spot with me while she was busy studying. I really appreciate it! And I think JunYoung knew about it too since he’s been looking at my camera for you 😉

The event started a little after 5pm. There was an opening act and after 3 songs, 2AM came out. They sang around 4 songs? I’m not exactly sure because the shooting, the arm/hand fatigue and the thirst got to me by the time they got the cake out. It’s Changmin’s birthday today (and 2 more members with their birthday this month) so fans gave them a very cute musical cake with candles to blow. They also made a video greeting for the boys. Soon after the show was over. It was too long for my arms and hands to take… but it was too short a time to see them in person. The boys were nice and talented, and they tried hard to speak to us in Filipino and English. I hope they come back soon (and bring 2PM along with them of course).
Here’s the photos. A whopping total of 120 clear shots (and I’ve already picked that out of nearly 1k shots for the day). It would have been more if I got a better position like the VIP section or just stuck along the side railings. If you’d like to download all, here’s a zip file.
Feel free to share these but please do not hot link. Don’t forget to credit as well. Enjoy!
Here’s a teaser clip before I head to bed because I don’t think I can finish posting tonight.
